Good News Or Bad News?

Well I suppose I will find out tomorrow.

I had this morning off which meant I could get an emergency appointment as I had been feeling that my glasses weren't fitting properly (a pain (literally), especially as I have vari-focals).  I wondered if wearing the over-glasses I have to for clinic had caused the problem.  However after 1/2 hour of checks - everything was OK.  However as my notes are marked that I need annual, or less, check-ups they want to see me again tomorrow.  So I am hoping it is just my eyes in general needing a new prescription, even though I was only there 9 months ago.  However the bad news would be that of more loss of sight in my damaged eye ... so, tomorrow afternoon I have an emergency appt.

The good news for both is that it's about 4 miles walk there & back ... so I can certainly have a biscuit, or two, later!

And, of course -

13. What brand are you most loyal to?

Cadbury chocolate
Kellogs cornflakes
... and due to allergy I have Stork block margerine

Catch-Up Time, Again

How did I lose 4 days?

When I saw the GP last Friday he signed me off for another 2 weeks. I am slowly feeling better, but as soon as I start feeling like a fraud, I feel totally exhausted again. Absolutely no stamina. However considering how I was I am getting better.

However, despite being at ome I still managed to miss out on LJ for the last couple of days ... so here is the catch-up

23 When you think about your future, what are you most afraid of?
That I lose my sight - it was hard watching Mum. I am so aware of my bad eye as I type this, according to my last appointment I now have 50% vision left in my right eye ... but to lose it all, and some from the other eye would be very hard. Like Mum I love all sorts of sighted hobbies ... but there is nothing I can do either way, so I stay positive in that having lost my eye sight briefly in my right eye back in 1988 I have had (and still have) vision since then.

24 You are out at a restaurant and you notice that a celebrity you really admire is at a nearby table. What do you do?
I am so unobservant that a celeb could sit opposite me and I wouldn't notice them!

25 You have been given a complex task to perform at work. How do you approach it?
With panic - and I ask, and ask and ask the order to do things

26 What’s a belief that you hold that most people probably disagree with?
I have very deap religious views and that is something that most people I know find hard. I 100% believe The Bible, which is something that most people disagree with

I Have Signed Up For A Challenge In May ....

... to swim 100 lengths.

Guide Dogs (for the blind) is doing a May100 challenge, and as I need a challenge I am going to do this. I do support a puppy-in-training (the present one is called Fletcher) in Mum's memory. Watching her lose her sight was heart-breaking in the extreme, and this challenge is doubly special as it was her who taught me (and my brothers) to swim ... to begin with just in the sea around England when on holiday, and then occasionally at a swimming pool where Dad worked.

She kept swimming until she was 80, as she is in this photo taken in Rhodes of the two of us.

So, I am raising money as part of this challenge, as you can see here
