Bigger Panic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Adventure before dementia
Big GULP

Looks like I've bought a house today!

I saw this with Tim last week and although smaller than I wanted it's spitting distance (almost literall) from the hospital.  And, as I come out with a few pounds at the end I can get some cabinets made and thus have a total new start.

I said 18 months ago that I wanted to turn my life around ... and before 50 ... well, I made it with 10 days to spare!    That's not counting the actual move etc!  I don't think I ever realised what I meant when I said it - but although I am in a panic at present, basically I feel great.  I suppose, as with many things, if I had known what job I would end up with and that I would be down-sizing I would have said NO - but, I feel really energised - the "me" of my mid-40's is back ... and that is amazing to know.

So, Thank You, friends for sticking with me - and for all the encouragement thatI have had over that time

Group *hug*

That's great!

If you're feeling excitement along with the nervousness, I think that's a good sign.

Pics, please ;)

Thans M_Grace ... that's a nice positive thought that the nerves are OK!!

Thanks Jerusa - that is a big point - 5 minutes walk and I'm in the hospital ... great after a 13 hour shift to only have that to walk home again!

Congratulations Deborah! That's great news, and having a bit of money to spare as well is always a good thing - you can put your own stamp on the house. Hope everything goes well with both sale and purchase, and that you're settled in to your new home very soon.

I'm glad you're feeling good about yourself and your situation - you deserve to!

*hugs you back*

Thanks so much Carolyn - it's been a long time, but I just know that I am "me" again. Thanks for the support during the darker moments.

Yes, the money means I can get myself the things I want ... and get it "my" place sooner rather than later.

*hugs*

Congratulations!!!!! Life plays tricks on us and gives us surprises when we least think it will happen. I have found that there are several times in your life that you begin again.

So now talk about the house. How many rooms and what are you planning on doing with it? Will you be able to walk to work? Is it a row house or a single house? Please, we need details.

Yes, it's good we don't know what is in the future - good or bad! This last few weeks have been so positive - thank you for all the love and support during those darker days - I am so glad I have turned myself around ... I feel I am "me" again.

It's a mid terrace - like mine ... 3 stories. Lounge & kitchen, spare room, bathroom & study and a bedroom in the loft area. Parking on the front - 5 minutes walk to work.

Pics will follow - soon, I promise.

Thanks - that's a huge point in it's favour ... 5 minutes after I leave work I can have the kettle on ... and have a shower!

Yay! Great news! I'm so happy that you've found a new home! Also - smaller than you'd planned is not such a bad thing as you are busy with work and so there'll be less to worry about for housework! :)

Wow, that is fast work. Short commutes are very important to well being. Think of all the time you will save for more productive use.

You have made big changes in a very short period of time. Congratulations on all of them.
