2011 - Day 24

OK - James

I told you that Jan and Feb are birthday months for our family - so yet another trip to Bude Post Office ... this time to post a parcel to my Aunt (my Dad's sister) ... and here is the Post Office.  A lovely building, but sadly the top 2 floors just stand empty ... at least they haven't decided to pull it down.

A lovely building, indeed. :)

It is great - pity it couldn't be lived in ... and loved.

What a gorgeous building. My town's post office looks like an ugly white shoe box.

We have 2 in the town - and the other is small but still a nice building. We are quite lucky that the centre of the town has really had things changed in the building, but the outside has mostlty stayed the same.

That is a great looking building. Good to see that it's still used.

It is great - but it's also a pity it couldn't be lived in ... and loved.

Lovely building :D

It is stunning - wish the upper part was lived in, and loved.

Unique looking building. How deep is it?
24th-Jan-2011 09:52 pm (UTC)
In fact more unique than you think - as it's basically triangular in shape.

That's an interesting (and pleasing to me) looking building. Shame it's mostly unused, but as you say, at least they haven't knocked it down.

It is a lovely building - and at the "top" of the town, so a lovely location when it was originally built.

Three stories! I wonder if the top two stories are being used. I wonder what they used to be used for. Has that building always been a post office?
25th-Jan-2011 08:25 am (UTC)
No, sadly the top 2 stories are empty - but at least it hasn't been knocked down! I would like to see it lived in ... and loved.

The sign is a leter addition, so I don't know if it was built for that purpose, or not ... can't find a date for it (sorry!)
