A Thought From The Bible


As most of you already know, I start each day with a Bible reading.  At present in Bude, I am reading froma modern paraphrased translation - The Message.  As I have read cover-to-cover many times, a different version opens well known verses again.

Today I was reading the start of the book of Joshuua ... in the Old Testamnet.

Moses has just died and Joshua takes over as leader to take the people (thousands of them) into their new land.  The verse that jumped out at me said -

"Strength!  Courage!  Don't be timid; don't get discouraged.  God, your God, is with you every step you take."

A great verse for us all - but especially for me, as I head towards unkown paths.
