When I arrived he actually trotted across the field to me, which is so, so sweet. He tends to be lazy, so that was rally lovely to have him come over to say Hello ... or was it to check I had a carrot in my pocket? As the picture showed, he was actually quite clean this morning, as it had yet again rained overnight. We walked in and then he had a good groom, which I think he really enjoyed. It is great to spend just "us" time - and very relaxing for us both. The great thing was that he laso had his 4 shoes on - he needs to be shod, but these are still on and protecting his feet against the mud (and now, the road)
We got ready, at the same time as Toni and Smudge and then walked up the road to meet Ros and Shadow. A dry morning - so all in all, it was a "proper" Wednesday!
Considering DJ hadn't worked for some time, he was really good. He had stood to be groomed and plaited,a nd now as he walked up the road, he was relaxed. The 3 boys took turns in their walking order, and wherever he was he was OK!
We only went on the "round the block" route - but it was really lovely.
Once back - he managed to eat his meal, and didn't need a reminder as to how to do that, even after his break!
