With Jiffy

2021 Has Started!!

Happy New Year - here's hoping and praying that over the coming months we will see see a renewel of safety & freedom. All my holiday plans for 2020 were transferred, so hopefully by the time of the first trip, in May, things will be beginning to get back to normal.

Well, I did see the New Year in last night, although I did "wobble" when I realised that it was the first time I would have no one to wish a Happy New Year to. Oh well, as part of my positive focus I am going to start the year by doing the Snowflake Challenge again -

Challenge #1

In some ways my intro is the same as the entry this time last year .... However as those of you who know me realise last year was a tough one for me, not just with Covid, but being ill defore that and my Chronic Fatigue flaring up. Add to that my having to say Goodbye to my little Westie, Jiffy, it was hard.

So I am wanting to re-focus my life ... and this is one of the ways I am going to do it.

So Happy New Year to you all - here's hoping we all get back to normality soon (if I was ever normal to begin with!!)

Group *hugs*

Wow, 2 Posts On Day 1

Well I am trying to be more focused this year, and more LJ involved. Both were missing last year and I missed "me" as well as you all. So in the aim to do better I am going to try to keep up to date with the Daily Meme, and have copied the whole list from kazzy_cee, so, here is #1, with the rest of the list under the cut.

January Day 1
1. What’s one question you hate being asked?

I do often get asked about my husband or my children ... it's OK if they accept the basic answer of having been always single, but some peple then go on to ask "why?"

I thought I would also do the Friday 5 .... it saves me another ew minutes from having to battle with my jigsaw puzzle ... it's lovely, but a good challenge!

The Friday 5 - Out with 2020, In with 2021!

What was the best thing about 2020?
I was able to spend a lot of time with Jiffy ... and to re-discover nature as I took him for a very slow walk.
What lessons from 2020 will you carry into 2021?
o try to accept who I am (but I have failed for years, so hopefully I will be able to do better this year.
How did you spend your New Year's Eve?
I watched TV - "Sound of Music" was on, which is a real favourite film of mine.
Legend says what you did at midnight on New Year's Eve/Day is what you'll do all year. So what did you do?
Well I actually shed a tear as I realised it was the first time that I was by myself to see in the New Year.
What are you most looking forward to in 2021?
Day trips & holidays ... and getting to spend time with my brothers again (never thought I would miss them that much!!)
