Poppy Wreath

I may not have been around LJ this morning - but I spent 2 minutes in silence, along with the rest of my Church, remembering those who have died in the 2 world wars, and in conflicts since .... including even in the last few days ... and those who suffer, those who mourn.

Life is precious ... we need to remember those who have suffered that we can have freedom.

Tomorrow, even though I'm at work I will remember again at the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month.

We will remember them"

College Reunion

I don't think I ever got round to telling you all, but last Friday I went to Runnymede for dinner ... a 400 mile round trip, and even though the food was odd, the journey was worth it.

Back in 1979 I started at the British School of Osteopathy .... 96 of us enrolled, and on the 1st July 1983 63 of us graduated.

Now 30 years on I am no longer an osteopath, but when 2 different people contacted me to ask if I was going to go to the reunion ... so I did!

There were 23 of us there (sadly one of my closest friends was taken ill that morning) ... but we chatted, reminisced and laughed.  A truly super evening.

And now ... here we areCollapse )

So glad I went - we hope to do it all again in another 5 years this time.
