Just Catching Up!

I am not working today ... not good for the bank balance, but am trying to get a few jobs done over yesterday and today .... and enjoy actually having "me" time.

So - what have I done ....

  • Went to the doctor about my on-going knee pain .... I injured ligaments when I was fencing 10 years ago and have pulled it again - made worse as it was that calf muscle I tore. I came out with no answers ... other than the classic, lose weight! Grrrrrrrr

  • Trying to get a baby throw crocheted ... Toni's youngest is expecting her second kid soon, and Toni dropped hints that it would be nice ... so I am busy.

  • Sorting out a couple of cupboards ... the type where things get put, to sort out later!

  • Cut down some over-hanging brambles in my back garden.  Next door was a rented place so has overgrown, although now new owners.  So they cleared the garden, I needed to clear my bit.

  • Getting my holiday photos sorted ... and up.  Hope you weren't bored with that.

  • Getting memes sorted again!

  • Trying to work out what seasonal_spuffy I am doing.

So, as you can see - busy days!

Well must get out to the shops as I'm out of milk (disaster strikes if I can't get tea!).

Snagged this from ayinhara ... but that's OK as I love wearing red t-shirts!

Day 15 - Timeline Of Your Day

Hard to say as it depends if I'm working ... or on a Sunday at Church. Anyway ...

Alarm clock-radio = 7 am (8 on Sundays)  Then it's my pills, a pint of water, wash/shower and up ... by 8am. Then breakfast while reading the Bible/praying.

Work (if there) is usually a 9am start, which means I live home 10 minutes before that ... with the sandwiches that I made while getting breakfast.

Lunch is at 12.30 - 1.30 ... depending on shift. Sarnies if at work, cooked if at home.

Teatime is 6 - 7pm.

Then it's DVD/computer time .... until up to bed somewhere between 10 and 11 ... then read for at least 30 minutes.

Holiday October 2013 - The Wallace Collection

Some months ago curiouswombat  entioned she had been to The Wallace Collection. I had never heard of it - so looked further and found where .... and what it was about -

A free national museum, displaying superb works of art in an historic London town house. The collection was acquired principally in the 19thC by the 3rd & 4th Marquesses of Hertford & Sir Richard Wallace, the illegitimate son of the 4th Marquess. The 28 rooms, many recently refurbished with elaborate gilding & wall silks, present collections of French 18thC painting, furniture and porcelain (many once owned by Madame de Pompadour & Queen Marie-Antoinette) together with paintings by Titian, Canaletto, Rembrandt and Gainsborough, Hals' 'The Laughing Cavalier' & Fragonard's 'The Swing', 4 armouries and wonderful Renaissance treasures.

So, I decided to visit, and like her, I will say to anyone that's in London ... go ... you won't regret it.
