Adventure before dementia

My A,B,C Of Fandom

No - don't look for a cut ... it isn't here.

However I promise myself - and warn all of you that I am going to do it ... Although it will not be as amazing as deborahw37  did yesterday or that bendy1  has done this morning.

I want to get back to the squeee ... that's why I found LJ and most of my f-list ... and to my shock have realised that I have one or two new readers who don't know who James is ...  So, in my spare minutes today I will get to work!

Amen!

Thoughts From My Bible Reading This Morning.

As most of you read a couple of weeks ago I am (at long last) beginning to come to terms with things that happened in my life while I was at school.

Well I read The Bible every morning, and am at present reading The Old Testament - and today was reading from the book of Lamentations.  It is quite a sad book, as the name shows, and was written by Jeremiah.  His country had been destroyed and most of his companions killed or captured -

However in the midst of this sad time he wrote some lovely words :-

The unfailing love of the Lord never ends!  By his mercies we have been kept from complete destruction.
Great is His faithfulness;  His mercies begin afresh each day.
I say to myself, "The Lord is my inheritance; therefore I will hope in Him"
The Lord is wonderfully good to those who wait for Him and seek Him.
So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from The Lord.

You heard me!  You listened to my pleading; you heard my weeping!
Yes, you came at my despairing cry and told me "Do not fear"

Lamentations 3 vv 22 - 26, 56 - 57 (N.L.T.)

Very positive thoughts.

I also love verse 26 as I am keeping it as a promise.  Every day I pray for 2 very special people - that they will really be happy ... and learn how much God loves them.  To me this is a promise that I will see those prayers for those people answered.

James - Filming Announced!

For those who may not know the news is now confirmed - From www.jamesmarsters.com

MESSAGE FROM JAMES

James is happy to announce that he will be starring in the forthcoming ITV/History Channel/ProSieben movie “Moonshot.”

Moonshot” is a dramatization of the days leading up to the Apollo 11 launch to the moon.  James will portray American astronaut Buzz Aldrin.

"Moonshot" is expected to air in 2009 but no specific date is yet scheduled.

That is great - I remember the moon landings ... I remember standing in our garden and looking up at the moon that evening and bing really sad that I couldn't see the space-craft.  As I was, at that time 8, it means James was 7 ... so wonder what his memories are.

The story of the Moon has, from that day always fascinated me - so I am really looking forward to this

CONGRATULATIONS JAMES

My A,B,C Fandom Squeee Of James

Yes - this is what a lot of us enjoy about LJ - Fandom.  Most of my f-list joined so that they could "chat" with other fans about a favourite star ... film... or something.

For those who have read my profile ... or in fact for those of you who know me I am a James Marsters fan, having spotted him first as Spike ... hence my user-name!

Anyway, I have decided to copy a couple of others from my f-list and o my own A,B,C of James ... why I think he is great!  So it is going to be a bit of squeee ... a bit of thanks ... and some ramble thrown in! ... Not forgetting some pictures!
