Just A Quick Hi

The week has gone by and somehow I haven't managed to do much but work.  So have a few tasks to do today ... including shopping.  So am going to scribble here and then head out to the shops and hope to return here later today.

How are you all doing?  Hope life is going OK.  It has been a colder week than I expected as the main reception desk is near the main doors ... and all heaters had broken.  So I certainly felt as if I wore a lot of layers when I had to stay into the evening.  Oh well, hopefully the weather will warm up, and at least that gave me a chance to wear some of my jumpers.  So let's me positive!

Right, let's get walking into the city and a) get some exercise on the way and b) get my shopping done!

But before I head off to do that -

18 – Quilting Day: The oldest known quilting dates from 3400 BC! Has anyone ever made you a quilt or have you made your own? Have you ever bought a hand-made quilt?
I started a quilt back when I was 13 (a neighbour was making one and started me off) ... about 15 years later I eventually had enough to cover the top of a bed, with a plain "drop" to floor level. It is something that I hope to do again at some point.

19 – International Read To Me Day: created to boost literacy this day isn’t just for children. When was the last time you read out loud to someone? What was it you read? Did someone read aloud to you when you were a child? Some couples read to each other – if you have a significant other, is this something you do?
I read a portion of the Bible the last time I saw Auntie Joyce.
Oh yes, Mum (& Dad to a certain degree) used to read to all us us when we were kids ... I remember reading to my younger brother when we were kids (there is 6 years between us)

Right Exeter, here I come
