And Here We Are ... Another Week
Wow, how can we be all but half way through March? Where are the days going? And, I don't seem to have much to show for the year, so far ... oh well, one day I might get organised (but I doubt it!)
Washing is up (inside, as it's damp outside, although very windy, so I would have to peg everything extra well), milk is bought, prescription is collected (wow it was actually ready for me this month), and now I am scribbling a "HI" ... so, HI
Hope you all had a good weekend.
Work went well on Saturday evening, although it seemed extra cold. I think it helped (or made things worse) that it had been an overcast day, so very chilly. Yesterday was actually a bit better, and Church was nice and warm ... it does the "warm places" open days like many locations in England, but must say it is always warm on a Sunday morning. Over the afternoon & evening I had a lazy time ... dipped in & out of Crufts, watched the Lego competition, and the final of the Pottery show-down. ... so nice TV watching for a change.
Now I want to get to a bit of sorting before going into work ... and as I am working a full day tomorrow I shall do 2 days questions now ...
13 – Good Samaritan Day: Have you ever been a good Samaritan for a stranger? Has anyone ever been one for you? Do you think people are less likely to help out these days than in the past?
Someone gave me a lift once when I had broken down nowhere near a phone (pre mobiles), and I accepted without thinking about it, much to quite a few people's worries when they knew about it.
I do think people are less likely to offer now ... maybe we know "too" much ... there are mostly lovely people out there, but we have to beware of "the others"
14 – Crowdfunding Day: Did you know it dates back to the 19th century although the modern resurgence dates from the mid 1990s? Have you ever donated to a crowdfund? Have you ever asked people to donate to you?
No I didn't realise it was that old, and have never crowd-funded in any way.
Yes I have donated to charity and raised money for charity ... but prefer them.
Right let's get on before I grab something to eat and head to work.
Will aim to catch up with you all soon x
