Oh, Well At Least I Bring Some Icons!
I have been in & out to work ... some good shifts, and overall less hours, which is better for my body and brain, if not the bank balance!
However I have still manage to injure one of my hamstrings. It's on the same leg as the injuy to the ankle (and I did injure the knee badly 20 years ago). But, the good news is that I may be 61 but have very little arthritis in either joint. So I have had treatment today and now have a sore leg ... and exercises to do to repair the injury overall.
On Wednesday I had (Christmas) lunch with Toni & Pete. I managed to speak to Toni by herself briefly ... Pete's cancer is doing OK, and he is off treatment for the moment, but his heart took a bit of a pounding. That's a worrying thing as he is 75, and did have a heart attack 20 years ago ... so good news, but not great. he is seeing the consultaant again in a week or two, so we shall see how he is doing then.
Anyway, as the post said, I am enjoying the icon challenges over on DW (mostly). These first 2 are for Itsabattlefield ....

Thses 4 are made from round 54 of perioddrama_ic over on DW, with the theme of "Favourite Things" ....I do love these 2 TV series ... Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman and Downton Abbey

As ever, they can be snagged.
Now, I must get caught up -
10 – Shop for Travel Day: First celebrated in 2018, Shop for Travel Day has continued annually on the second Tuesday of the year ever since. The reason for it being situated at this time on the calendar has to do with the fact that, in many cases, the early weeks of January are an especially advantageous time to shop for travel due to many companies offering special deals and discounts. When was the last time you travelled within your own country? How about outside of your own country? If money (and time) were no object, where would you love to travel to?
Didin't realise there was a good day to book a trip. However most of my trips are either cheepo ones in England, or ones booked with tour companies.
I travelled to see my Aunt last weekend (but not for leisure) ... the last leisure trip in England was London in November. Last trip further afield was Turkey in September.
Oh I have a very, very long bucket list!
11 – Take the Stairs Day. Does your house have stairs? If you have the choice of stairs or an elevator, which do you choose?
I have a 3 story house ... with staires. I always use staires at work, as well.
12 – Marzipan Day: Do you like marzipan?
No
13 – Make Your Dream Come True Day: Have you ever had a dream come true? Care to tell the story?
Minor ones, yes ... I have been to San Francisco ... I have been to Gallipoli
Right, lets get on and sit on a comfy seat so i can rest the leg and let it heal easier!
Catch up tomorrow x
