And, Still No Real News
As I said, I was away and I spent a couple of days in Clacton, did some sorting of clothes with her and filled in half the form of the home she says she likes. However when I asked for details for the rest of the form she told me there was no hurry. The following day she said she wasn't worried if things didn't work out until the New Year. I did try to explain that if the home had the details, then when she made a decision then things could be put into action ... but she is one very stubborn lady. I have reminded her that both myself and brothers were on the end of a phone, and for myself I am only a drive away (I am on a zero hours contract).
So a 500 mile trip in heavy rain and bright sunshine ... neither were nice, with the sun being low in the sky, and the rain so heavy a couple of times that you could hardly see the length of your own car.
Now I worked this morning, and should have been doing a course this afternoon but it got cancelled at the last moment, so am here. However I do have to get some shopping done as I have 2 long days of work ahead, before the weekend ... so before I head off to do that -
2. What are some very salty foods you enjoy?
I like salt on salad/vegetables; salted roast nuts ... and crisps.
3. What are some major global events that have occurred during your lifetime?
A lot ... but here are some I remember ...
Abefan may have been a local disater but had a global response
Apollo's ... well the famous ones of VIII, XI and XIII ... I remember the latter 2 really well.
Falklands War
Lockerbie bombing, 9/11
Boxing Day Tsnamie
and, finally, the death of HRH Queen Elizabeth II
(Vietnam War, but don't remember it)
4. The restaurant is out of your favorite salad dressing. What do you order instead?
That would be odd as I like salt & vinegar on salad!
