Catching Up

Life is OK, but busy, hence my lack of being around over the last couple of days.

I enjoyed my shift on main reception on Monday, but it was 6 1/2 hours long which is the longest I have done since I was ill over 2 years ago. So I was absolutely drained in the evening and ended up going to bed very, very early.

Yesterday I was back in clinic as normal in the morning, and again it was another nice shift. On Tuesdays I have been doing a short gym class for the last few weeks, so again that is working well, but just tiring ... especially as I also spent a few minutes putting up some flags -

So far I am the only one in the street, but let's see what tomorrow brings. My brother, who I shall be going to on Friday, also said his was the only decorated road in his street ... so a pity really. I had planned to walk into the city tomorrow to see how things were decorated around the cathedral but am working on main reception again .... thus the extra set of questions. I am doing 6 hours, so I shall see how that is, but I shall want to catch up on the service of thanksgiving at some point.

Today I plan to do housework, and Claire has asked me to make a couple of things for the get-together on Friday, and as one is some biscuits I can make those ahead of time. On Friday I have to make a rice salad, so can't really pre-prepare.  I also hope to make some icons as I am a bit behind with a couple of competitions.  So, before I go -

30. What takes up too much of your time?
Housework

31. What would be your first question after waking up from being cryogenically frozen for 100 years?
Are there any others around who I would know

1. What would a perfect city be like?
Actually Exeter is pretty good!
I would like a cathedral (check), a museum (check), shops both large & small (check), countryside near (check) and the sea nearby (check).  Yes I would like a lot lot bigger museum, I would also like more historic houses (we do have a few).

2. What are some small things that make your day better?
people smiling, being polite and generally being friendly & relaxed.

And for those who asked, both my sisters-in-law are doing OK ... being busy is helping them both come to terms with their losses.  Also, sadly, Toni's husband has appararently been diagnosed with cancer, but that is all I know at present... so hopefully because the lump is fairly small it is early days and treatment will be available for him.

Right that's me up to date.  I am planning on going through your posts later today.  I aim to answer comments as well, I know I am even further behind with those.
