The scones are partly due to Claire. Last winter she had just started to bake again when we went into the first lockdown. As at the time we couldn't get flour, she paniced when we could buy it again ... and bought extra flour "in case". As she doen't bake much, and knew I was back into baking as well, when I took Tim to & from hospital a couple of weeks ago, he gave me sweets, she gave me a spare bag of flour as they were running near sell-by dates. So rather that putting bread on to bake, (yes I have a bread maker), I decided I would make some basic cheese scones ... 2 for tonight and 4 more to put in the freezer to use over the next week or two.
I had aimed to meet a local friend for a local walk this afternoon, but she has gone don with an inner ear infection ... so I may see if I can begin to tidy/sort my front garden as a starter.
Well I had better get on - I will try to get back to comments & the rest of your updates this afternoon, but in case that doesn't work out, I will keep up -
17. What activities make you lose track of time?
Jigsaws, reading, sightseeing ... In other words anything that isn't work-related!
And, for the 3rd time this month - “Lá fhéile Pádraig sona dhuit!”
In other words - Happy St Patrick's Day, for those whoare Irish.
