Christine & I went on our last weekly trip yesterday ... we went to Trerice House in Cornwall. Apparaently the house was what prompted the author of Poldark to write some of his stories.
What a lovely house

The Potager garden

The Knot Garden --- the lavender has just been cut

Normally butterflies "run away" when they see me coming ... but

Inside the great hall

Detail on the fireplace

A lovely window - half the glass is 16th century

Looking down on the great hall from the minstle's gallery

The last tenant

Having fun ... I won the game of quoits

But Christing won the Kayling

Brass rubbing
