A Well Travelled Plant

One traditional fragrant rose ...

This photo was taken about an hour ago  .

However lets start it's story.

During WWII Mum commented every summer that it was the first rose in flower, and smelt beautiful.  In 1952 she married, and moved into their first house in 1953 .... and on Grandma & Granddad's first visit they brought the rose with them as a house-warming gift.  Since then it has moved each time, and now is with me in Exeter.

1952 - Stanwick
1953 - Ilford
1961 -  Flint
1967 - Upminster
1986 - Bude
1997 - Torquay
2016 - Exeter
