Jiffy - one ear up
Another 12th arrives, and I actually have time to scribble.

I have now been off work a couple of weeks, so am beginning to slowly feel human again - viral infections!!!

Anyway - yesterday, started off with the normal brekkie, and the taking Jiffy fo a walk.  Since I inherited him I am learning a lot about local roads, as he loves to explore!  Once back he got his car harness on and we were off to "Mum & Dad's" ... well, up the road from them actually as Jiffy was booked into the hairdressor for his bi-monthly care.

I dropped him off and went back to M&D's and did some more sorting.  The house is cool as we have turned the heating down.  I did mostly my room, as that is less depressing than throwing things away (although there is still a lot to do).  I had lunch ... McDonalds (!!!), and then back for more sorting - starting to empty the kitchen now.

On my way back to pick up Jiffy I dropped some stuff off at a Charity Shop, and stopped at the cemetary there, as I wanted to see my friend's mother's tombstone, which had been put up recently.

Then back to collect Jiffy, and back home.

A nice lazy evening, watching junk on TV and playing Tetris on my tablet.

So, not a bad day overall.

Good for you, feeling human once more. I'm hugely in favor of feeling human.

LOL - well the human feeling has dropped back a bit again - but at least I get time to spend on LJ!!

I'm glad you are feeling better. Jiffy seems to have settled really well.

Not 100% yet (still off work), but yes, it's good to know Jiffy is more settled... he certainly knows where his treats are stored!

Clearing out a home is really hard work so take it easy and give yourself time to get over that nasty virus!

I am trying to be a good and lazy girl - so frustrating when I see what I should be doing here, and know what needs to be done at Mum & Dad's. Still off work, so trying to get one small task completed per day.

Glad to hear that you're feeling up to doing a few things now.

It's a long slow process, and I am still off work, which is frustrating. But I am being a good girl, and taking things easy.

Sorting stuff out to empty a house is always slow progress, isn't it? So many things to stop and read, or take time over.

I'm glad to hear you are feeling better.

With Mum & Dad's house I am ending up packing much of it to bring here LOL!!

I am off work for another week, but am being a good girl and trying to take things slowly.

Good to hear you're getting better. With a few more of those nice lazy evenings you'll be back at 100% soon!

Oh yes - lazy evenings are great - I am really getting caught up with all my DVDs I want to re-watch!
15th-Feb-2016 12:06 am (UTC)
Feeling better is always a plus. I hope that trend continues.

I am slowly improving - but too slowly!! I have another week off, so that means more R&R

Glad to hear you're feeling better and that Jiffy is settling in with you. :)

I am slowly getting there - it's good to see Jiffy more settled ... he knows where his treats are stored!!

It is never fun to be sick and it just seems to be harder to be sick when we get "older". Yuck. Glad to hear you are on the mend!

So true - I should have done what my Mum did ... she stuck at 37 for years ... a bit embarrassing when I had my 30th birthday though!

X is also getting sick. I truly hope this doesn't last long. Of course, much of it is probably due to the sudden change in weather. It was a typical winter here, somewhat cold-ish and we even had some good snow. Now it's 80 freakin' degrees (F not C).

Nice, but I could have done with one more snowfall. Looks like we won't be getting it.

There are certainly a lot of bugs around over here - and with the weather changes that doesn't help. Cold and dry yesterday, cool and rain today.

We will be doing the same thing next month - going through the parents' house. We'll catch up later, but as I mentioned before, we've been going through very similar.
I am glad you are feeling better, and that you finally have some time for yourself, even to do just the little things like tv and Tetris. (OMG - I had forgotten about that game!)

How are things? I am sorry to read that you are having to do the same as me. It is hard to see so much love and history. Dad is pretty chirpy this week, which is great, but his words are very muddled with his Alzheimer's, although sadly he often asks about Mum.

Yes, the Tetris is fun!

Things are very hectic currently, and I will do a catch-up post for you soon. It is very difficult when the mind starts to go. My mother-in-law suffered a brain aneurysm followed by a stroke, and she also often asks about loved ones who are no longer with us. It is very sad to see.
