Quick Update & Fandom Meme

I am trying to keep up to date ... so here is me.

I am still struggling with the chest infection. The GP has put me on steroids again, which haven't helped the coughing, but the CFS is a bit better. So I shall see if I can get a low dose for a bit to settle things further.

Neither Mum nor Dad are doing well. Dad very tired, and Mum very low, so it's hard to see them slowly getting worse ... especially as both of them have such poor memories now.

it's good news though about Jiffy, as he had to see the vet today and she said that his bowels were clear of any further lumps or cysts, so he is doing well.

Anyway, I must get on and reply to your comments. But, to try to keep things going I have snagged another meme from enigmaticblues

Give me a show/fandom and I'll tell you:

- The first character I fell in love with:
- The character who is my ‘baby’:
- The character who I do not understand:
- The character that I think the show ruined:
- The most attractive male and female character:
- The character death that was the worst for me:
- The character that is the most like me:
- The character I think the writer(s) love:
- The character that I just want to be happy:
- My four favorite characters, past or present:
- My four least favorite characters, past or present:

Glad to hear about Jiffy but you know how I fret about your health and the failing health of your parents. I know I keep saying this but you really do need professional help, I do wish you would contact social services and ask for assessments for all three of you; there is support available and you simply cannot carry on like this.

Sadly Mum looked after her mother ... and her mother had her mother living with her for years ... so it is inbred .... and something that was always done.

So I am caught next to that hard place - rock battle.

With respect were your mum and grandmother themselves in poor health and trying to hold down a job?

The circumstances were different, the times were different. I am not for one moment suggesting that you stop being your parent's main carer; I am suggesting that you need help and support

Oh yes ... I know what you are saying, but sadly life is as it is.

Since I got into a routine with my work/housework/gardening/cooking etc life has certainly been easier for me.

I think for me the real frustration is my brother who is in Exeter ... a phone call every few weeks is not the same as actually helping.

Thanks Deb *hugs* back

That is good news about Jiffy, but I'm sorry to hear that your infection is being slow to clear and that your mum and dad aren't doing too well.

Sorry to hear about your parents, hon. I'm glad for every day that is a good one (and so far I've been lucky).
Wishes you strength

It is good to celebrate the good days ... they help you cope with the harder ones.
