London 2013 - Part 1

I did say I would catch you up with my trip to London.  Basically I had a great time - even though the weather was cold it was (mostly) dry , so I was able to get around and see what I wanted to.

On the Tuesday I travelled up and after dropping my bags off at the hostel I headed straight out again to The Petrie Museum ... a museum that's part of UCL and for those who don't know (that included me!) ... Petrie was the archeologist who taught Carter (of Tutankhamun fame) his trade. The place was very low-key, but full of so many artifacts, so if you like Egyptology it's worth a visit.

From there I wandered around part of Regents Park ....

More pictures around the park can be seen on my Photobucket.

And then off to Trafalgar Square to both enjoy the scene (I went to college there) ... and to wander round The National Gallery and The National Portrait Gallery. I do like those galleries ... sad to say, The Tate Modern is lost on me.

So, now footsore and hungry I head back to my room (via McDonalds, of course!!)
