I had watched the end on BtVS and literally yelled at the TV and for the first time ever I put "pen to paper" to right that wrong! Then I found the start of the extent of fan-fic. In learning that I found I needed a "beta" and was pointed towards LJ ... and found both the help I needed and that I wasn't the only one who got so involved in a storyline.
How did you find your first friends?
Via my Beta I got a few ... and then via a couple of LJ communities on her list I found other Spuffy fans.
Are those first friends still on your FL?
cryssiemarsters (my Beta) is now more on FaceBook, rather than here.
How long have you been on LJ?
I have just looked - it's my 7th anniversary tomorrow!
Do you have more friends or communities on your FL?
Friends, definitely ... although a few comms are important on my reading list.
Do you do a lot of friends cuts?
Never done one. I have a few names on my f-list who I have never heard from, and a few who no longer LJ ... but to me a friend is a friend on good days, and bad.
What do you like in an LJ friend?
Someone who posts ... someone who occasionally comments. However I can't moan about the commenting as I have bad days myself at doing that!
What do you dislike in an LJ friend?
I don't have problems, that I know about!! I am lucky in that I know a lot of my people find my faith very weird, no one is too rude to me about it!
What would make you un-friend someone immediately?
I have never un-friended anyone. But if someone wouldn't accept my faith as being correct for me, then I may decide to say something in a PM, but that is probably as far as it would go!
Have you been caught up in a lot of LJ drama?
Not that I know of.
Do real-life friends and family members know you have a journal on LJ?
The family do, and my best friend does. Don't know whether they ever read.
Do you also have Facebook and if so, what do you prefer – LJ or FB?
I have a FB as a couple of my LJers are now only there. However I really don't like it ... spend about 3 minutes a day!
What about Twitter?
I do have one ... but never use it!

No
How often do you check in on LJ?
All the time!
What do you rarely or never post about?
I don't think there's anything ... if you know me well and can think of a subject, let me know and I promise I'll do a post!

If I haven't posted it's cos you haven't asked!
Have you ever thought about deleting your journal?
Never .... LJ is home.
Have you ever changed your username?
No
Why did you choose your current username?
Debris is a nickname I had at orchestra as I am a Deborah who is accident prone.
4 Spike - I got my LJ as I wrote a story about Buffy & Spike ... and I am a Spike fan.
If you're looking for new friends, how do you find them?
I think most of my friends were friends of friends, or friends in communities.

Of course.
Finally, tell us the reasons why you keep an online journal.
To begin with it was to find out more about BtVS ... now it's to keep in touch with friends ... and to learn new things.
