In the old westerns you always knew who the baddie was .... he wore the black hat.  The goodie wore the whte hat.

Goodie v Baddie
Black Hat v White Hat

So, I always knew that Spike was better than Angel,

Goodie v Baddie
White Hair v Dark Hair
Spike v Angel

Point proved!
